Assessment of Conservation-Based ecotourism development in Surabaya's Wonorejo Mangrove Area

Conservation-based ecotourism development is one of the efforts in maintaining and realizing a sustainable tourism. This research aims to improve and provide the right strategy in developing the potential that exists in Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism. The background of this research is because not many people know about Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism and its benefits other than in the field of tourism. In East Java Province, especially Surabaya City has several mangrove tours which sometimes cause mangrove ecotourism in Wonorejo to experience competition. Even though when viewed in terms of topography, education and research, Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism can be a location that has many more interesting things. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data sources come from interviews, questionnaires and documentation, so that this research can be used as a reference for the development of other ecotourism. In addition, the results of this study can provide an objective picture of the actual state of the object under study.
