This study investigates the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and community actions in maintaining home air quality in Keparakan Lor Village, Mergangsan District, Yogyakarta. Nearly 90% of individuals spend most of their time indoors, indoor air quality is critical for health. This research highlights various factors influencing air quality, including household activities and human behavior. A cross-sectional quantitative approach was employed, involving 93 respondents selected through proportionate random sampling. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods, including chi-square tests. The findings reveal that a significant proportion of the community possesses good knowledge (68.8%) and positive attitudes (52.7%) towards maintaining air quality. Yet, nearly half of the respondents (48.4%) still engage in harmful practices. A strong correlation was found between knowledge and community actions (p < 0.001) and between attitudes and actions (p < 0.05), indicating that improving knowledge and attitudes could enhance community efforts in maintaining indoor air quality. This research underscores the importance of education and awareness in fostering healthier living environments.
