Abstract

Bio-ecology research is essential for conserving and managing the Tabanio coastal forest, a highly biodiverse ecosystem in coastal South Kalimantan, to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the extent of bio-ecology recording of the Tabanio coastal forest. The method used was the PRISMA model to review relevant literature. The results found 73 documents with the keyword <bio-ekologihutan pantai” “Tabanio” Kalimantan Selatan> and 22 documents with the keyword <bio-ecology of "coastal forest" "Tabanio" south Kalimantan> Google Scholar. One of them is also indexed in Scopus. One of them was also indexed in Scopus. After reviewing, 6 documents were found that were published about bio-ecology. In contrast, most of them were published in the form of derivative studies, namely the development of educational tools based on local potential. Others are stored in the campus repository. Most research examines floral biodiversity and population structure, some of which is faunal research. However, there is still a need for studies on microhabitat interactions, microorganisms, human activities' impact, and climate change's impact on ecosystems for more effective conservation and ecosystem management efforts. This research also aims to support the achievement of SDGs 14 and 15, which in this study is a healthy coastal forest ecosystem.
